Brand Identity Design
Embr Films, an elopement and brand videography studio, specializes in capturing authentic stories through compelling, connection-driven visuals. Elizabeth sought my expertise to develop a brand identity that mirrors the richness of her work while deeply resonating with her ideal clients. Through my signature, strategic branding process, we crafted an identity that aligns seamlessly with her vision and elevates her brand's distinct appeal, driving engagement and setting her apart in a competitive market.
βWith embers glowing, the conversation softens in volume, and expands in richness as you address topics on your heart with vulnerability and compassion. You are seen in your full humanity, and loved all the more for it. We capture the beauty and complexity that is already present, and mirror back the incredible story that is already unfolding.
EMBR is the embodiment of that connection we all desire.β
She now has a stunning brand identity that uniquely speaks to the desires and needs of her dream clients.
βEmbr Films captures the wholehearted expression of radical and bold elopement couples and brands. No two couples or brands are the same, so we never try to shoehorn our clients' stories into a premeditated formula.
Instead, they believe in deep connection, authentic storytelling and thoughtful collaborationβthe kind of meaningful connection only rivaled by that found around a dying campfire after a day of adventuring.
With embers glowing, the conversation softens in volume and expands in richness as you address topics on your heart with vulnerability and compassion. You are seen in your full humanity and loved all the more for it. Thatβs the kind of experience you can expect from Embr Films. They capture the beauty and complexity already present and mirror back the incredible story that is already unfolding.β
client testimonial
βI knew going into this project that I did not want to do the design myself. I have been doing my own design for the last 10 years and while it was enough to get me by, it was only ever just ok. Embr was going to be something incredibly special, and I needed the right person to guide me through the process and be as excited about this as I was.
I began interviewing different designers, checking out websites, but never felt connected to someone that I thought could do my business justice⦠until I talked with Kristy.
Immediately, Kristy was a fireball of energy and passion for my brand and the rough ideas that I had, and I knew that if I didnβt choose her, I wouldnβt fall in love with my brand, and I would be digging into another rebrand in a few years, and I wanted to do this the right way the first time.
Hiring Kristy was the best thing I could have done for my business.
When we began the process, I only had two requirements - keep my yellow, and to create something that I could put on a sticker and people would want to put on their cars. I wanted people to feel like they were connecting with something greater than themselves and I wanted them to feel like they were a part of a bigger story.
Kristy first sent over her Brand Design Workbook to start getting into my head, and it touched on steps that I thought Iβd have to take alone - including one liners, talking about my strengths and weaknesses (both personal and in my business) my competition, future goals, and so on and so forth. I just assumed that branding would only be about the visuals, but she takes this extra step to get into the nitty gritty of who you are and what you believe, and the results in the Brand Strategy shows that extra level of attention. Iβm so glad I didnβt have to do that part of branding on my own, and I know most other designers donβt offer that (or itβs an add on). Itβs so necessary.
Before we even got into the visuals, Kristy had taken my jumbled mix of words, thoughts and feelings, and turned it into a cohesive strategy that amped me up to dive into my website, and got me so stoked about my business. The overview she wrote about my brand actually made me cry, and keeps getting me all emotional.
The next stage was the visuals, and I was a mix of nervous and excited to see what she created. First draft in, I knew this would not only go on peopleβs cars, but I knew I wanted to get this logo tattooed on my body. It felt more like a personal brand than something for my business. It captured what Iβm most passionate about and what I believe in, and invited people into this story that Iβve been visualizing. We needed minimal adjustments after that first round, and we ended up finalizing things very quickly!
The entire process of branding isnβt something Iβd ever want to do on my own again. Could I save money? Sure. But that outside perspective, especially from someone that is as in tune with thoughts, feelings, emotions, as well as being highly skilled in what they do, is such a valuable asset to you as a brand.
I felt so seen by Kristy, and it shows in what she created for my brand. She also gave me all the assets and tools I needed to build my website, write my copy, get new business cards and branding materials, and get this thing launched!
I loved every step of the process, even though it was time-consuming, it was 200000000% worth it at the end of the day. I feel connected to my business, my brand feels aligned with my values, Iβm attracting my ideal client, and Iβm just excited to sit down and work on my business for the first time in 10 years.β
