Keystone Inspired Co’s founder, Britt, is also a designer and while she was excited to tackle the rebranding process herself, she reached out to me to get help effectively translating her brand story to her packaging. Keystone Inspired creates eco-conscious products inspired by the outdoors that surround you with the tranquility that only nature can bring. We worked together to make sure all of the incredible aspects of her business, brand and products were showcased on her packaging in a concise and compelling way!
KEY NOTES: These candles utilize recycled and recyclable materials and packaging, including a seeded-paper candle topper. Once the candle has been used in its entirity, the container can be cleaned out and used as a planter for the seeds. So in addition to reducing waste, recycling some components and reusing the container, you’ll also have a wonderful plant in your home that helps clean the air as well.
After working with Kristy Black Creative:
"Kristy digs deep. I spent over 4 hours filling out my discovery workbook so she knew as much about my brand, ideal clientele, core values and mission as I did. Kristy helped me piece together a brand that finally made sense. I could verbally tell the story, but my packaging could not. She made me think outside of the box, and reminded me that the brand is designed for my customers, not just for me. I am so grateful for the thoughtfulness she put into creating my packaging. It wasn't just about design, it's about a well thought out story." — Britt, Founder of Keystone Inspired Co.

Design Details:
Since all of Keystone Inspired Co’s products are inspired by outdoor adventures, I wanted to include some elements that spoke to that feeling. Throughout the packaging you’ll notice holding shapes that were inspired by the way-finder signs found along trails. The angles used on those signs also mirror the angles used in the “K” of Keystone Inspired Co.. I also designed the labels so that where they overlap in the back, they form the “K” as well for a bit of surprise and delight—my favorite elements of packaging!
Britt was already using seed-topper paper so that way the glass containers could be transformed into planters for wildflowers! We love eco-conscious packaging solutions!
