3 BIG MISTAKES you might be making with your branding 😱

As a brand strategist and designer, I've seen the full gamut when it comes to brand execution. I've seen entrepreneurs who knock it out of the park and others who struggle to keep it coherent. Today I'm sharing 3 of the biggest mistakes I see entrepreneurs making with their branding!⁣

1️⃣ Your messaging is a bit of a mess.

If you haven't nailed down your offerings, your niche and your Ideal Client, you're going to have a hard time developing an effective messaging strategy. When you're messaging is all over the place it makes you look unorganized and unprofessional. Eek! 😳⁣

Many entrepreneurs think they need to focus all their energy on the visuals of their brand, but as a brand designer and strategist, I want you to know that your messaging needs to be your top priority. If you’re struggling to figure your messaging out, considering snagging a copy of my Brand Discovery Workbook to help!

2️⃣ You're always chasing trends.

If you’re constantly changing your messaging strategy, offering suite, or your brand visuals to meet the latest trends that others are following, you are diluting your brand.👀 ⁣

It’s easy to fall into the trap of chasing the latest trends and offerings. If you want your business to stand out from the competition, you can’t also simultaneously adopt what everyone is doing. Your branding should serve as your guiding star and streamline all that you do.

3️⃣ You're not being consistent.

Similar to chasing trends, if you aren’t consistently applying your messaging and visual brand strategies across all of your touch-points you run the risk of weakening your brand at best, and could be and confusing and driving away customersat worst.

Your branding should be apparent in all that you do, from the services you offer to what and how you communicate to the ways in which you deliver those services. Consistency is queen! 👑⁣
